The Beginning of Modern Titan Design

With the completion of Optimum, Titan entered an entirely new chapter of yacht construction. Hull #2 became the first Titan designed from the ground up alongside a professional naval architect, establishing a design partnership that continues to influence every Titan Custom Yacht built today.

The new engineering approach produced a longer, wider platform with improved balance, hull efficiency, and offshore handling. Measuring 62 feet with a beam exceeding 19 feet, Optimum offered significantly more interior volume while maintaining the aggressive performance expected from a premium custom sportfishing yacht.

Hull #2 also marked a dramatic leap in power. Twin CAT C32 diesel engines producing 1,650 horsepower each nearly doubled the horsepower available in Titan’s first build, allowing Optimum to achieve an impressive 42-knot top speed while delivering the reliability demanded by tournament anglers.

Inside, the yacht features a beautifully finished high-gloss Anigre interior with a spacious three-stateroom, three-head layout designed for long-range fishing adventures and family cruising alike. Every detail reflects the growing sophistication of Titan’s craftsmanship as the company evolved from an ambitious startup into one of America’s premier custom yacht builders.

Optimum remains one of the most historically significant boats in Titan’s fleet because it introduced the design principles that continue to define every yacht the company produces today.
